There is another series you know, its called Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai. After that is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei. I hope this helps you fill that hole in your heart left by the end of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
wow ! the ending was odd, but it was fun to watch and easy to like the people in the show , the twist and turns never seemed to stop! the polt was great involeing both can you belive and can you trust. its was fun to see how humans can act when lead over the edge with fear and hate. I have all respect for the writters , you can tell the pored there heart and soul into it!
Why did it have to end D: My favourite anime, finished, in only 26 episodes
O BUT THEIRS MORE!!!!!
THE ANIME ISN’T DONE!!!!!! THERE’S STILL HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI KAI AND HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI REI!!! NOT TO MENTION THE SPECIAL HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORONI NEKOGOROSHI-HEN (also known as ‘The cat killing chapter’)AND THE OVA HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI KIRA!!!!!
Sorry for the all caps rage, but I was getting really annoyed that all of the comments were saying “Why did the anime have to end! D,:”
Oh but I forgot to mention that after Higurashi no Naku Koro ni all the episodes are subbed. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_When_They_Cry_episodes for more information.
I loved the entire anime. I loved the ending. Usually, I can’t stand the thought of anime, but, this was purely amazing. Kudos to everybody who worked so hard on it.
THanks fo reminding me about kai and all that other stuff Death Note lover! x3
I figured it out… The show was based on the mystery card game they played… I thought of that within the first 5 episodes… I also noticed it when Rena was acting like a detective…
wow this was the best episode love it so much! season 2 season 2 plz make a season 2!:D
no comment for the whole thing just damn
This was freaking awesome! I can’t wait to move onto season two, where more will hopefully be explained!
This anime was so good, that I finished it in only 2 days.
Im a little sleep deprived cause of it, but it was SO worth it!
I loved how each arc had a different main character in it. I wasn’t trying to “figure it out” like a lot of other people, I simply just watch and enjoyed it. Im moving on to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai as we speak, :3
Two days? Feh, I did a marathon. Every single episode of the first season from start to finish in one sitting. What’s that you say? I don’t have a girlfriend? Yeah, I do, and we watched it together. BAM. Nah, just kidding, she couldn’t stay that long, but I could *trollface*
great anime, I hope this site has kai on it, if it doesn’t I’ll leave a link later
Uh… I really wanna watch season two but I know I won’t enjoy it as much in subbed… Anyone think they’ll be making it in dubbed anytime soon?

For as long as I want!
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Quotes and messages by Rika Furude. Voiced by Reba West. Written down here… by myself.
I will never forget… I hope you’ll never forget… these messages mean a lot if you see them, through the fog.
Please remember, this is the end.
I Quote these messages from the english dubbed version of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, It isn’t the original, and some say it is a disgrace to the name Higurashi
but to me it was eye opening, and soul renewing, I learnt from this show, not about murder… but about life.
And even if some are against it, I hope that one day someone will dub this anime further in the english language, until then enjoy what you have and hope for the future.
And I’m aware that these messages, are simply previews of the next episode, but to me and some other people, they mean much more, metaphorically
and insightfully these messages can mean a lot read each one, and try to relate to it, that is how you can tell, that is how you can see.
P.S. Obviously I do not own any rights to these episodes, I am simply a fan and always will be…
I simply copied down what I heard, at the end of each episode of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, but I tried to be as neat as possible, and I am
not sure if I technically call myself the writer of this message, but I can say I took my time to write it in my own way, though word by word is from someone else.
Written by Chris Marsh.
yes i knew it rika is controlling this game xD
My big black salty wet fish smelling balls are now satisfied and are falling on the floor thanks to this anime. Yum now i need to clean it up.
GREAT SHOW!
Rika is my favorite, I originally thought keiichi was the main character but then after a while it becomes obvious Rika is the one the story really revolves around.
PS. I’m glad the dub didn’t screw up the Anime, some really are SO much better in Japanese!
Is there a dub for Kai, anyone know a website for it?
